How to check any lead provider's reviews

Whoever you buy commercial solar leads or appointments from, these checks take an hour and save a bad contract:

  • Watch reviews where you can see and hear the installer. A recorded call with a named business is harder to fake than a one-line written review.
  • Ask to speak to two or three installers who use them now, in your region and at your system sizes.
  • Check the company on Companies House: when it was set up, who runs it, and whether its accounts are filed.
  • Read the negative reviews too, and how the company replied. Every lead provider has some; what matters is what went wrong and whether it was put right.
  • Ask what you pay for (a lead, a booked survey or a survey that happens), what counts as qualified, and what happens to a no-show, in writing.
